Here are some of the traffic crashes that have occurred in our county.  Don't become a statistic.  Please Buckle Up!

In fatal crashes, 75 percent of passenger car occupants who were totally ejected from the vehicle were killed.

crash15.jpg (39403 bytes) Safety belts are effective in preventing total ejections:  only 1 percent of the occupants reported to have been using restraints were totally ejected, compared with 21 percent of the unrestrained occupants.
crash16.jpg (51183 bytes) Alcohol-related traffic fatalities fell to 15,935 in 1998 - 38 percent of all traffic fatalities for the year.
