Dear Community Members and Visitors,

On behalf of the dedicated men and women of Callaway Ambulance EMS, I want to extend a warm welcome to our website.

Every day, our team stands ready to serve you with professionalism, compassion, and the highest level of emergency medical care. Whether responding to a life-threatening emergency or providing non-emergency medical transport, we are committed to being there when you need us most.

Our paramedics and EMTs are more than just first responders—they are your neighbors, friends, and fellow community members who have chosen a career dedicated to helping others in their most vulnerable moments. We take great pride in the training, expertise, and heart that each member of our team brings to this vital work.

The Headquarters of the Callaway County Ambulance District are located at 2614 Fairway Drive in Fulton, Missouri.The day to day operation of the District is managed by the Chief of EMS and his management team. Members of the management team include the Medical Director, Assistant Chief of EMS, Division Chief of Training, and Battalion Chiefs.  To ensure operational continuity, there is a Battalion Chief or EMS Captain on duty 24 hours per day.

Christopher Sampson, MD

Medical Director

Dr. Sampson has been the District's Medical Director since January 1, 2021.  Dr. Sampson works full-time as an emergency physician at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.  Dr. Sampson attended medical school at the Royal College of Surgeons of England and completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at Washington University School of Medicine.  Dr. Sampson is board certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine and the American Board of Emergency Medicine/Emergency Medicine Services.
